Happy Easter

This Easter was so nice. Molly came and stayed with us. We went to church and then had all of Justin's family over for dinner. My sweet husband bought me a new Easter dress. It was a beautiful day to reflect our Saviour, Jesus Christ and His life and Atonement. We are so greatful for the Plan of Salvation and the blessings of having an Eternal family. We are so blessed to have the knowledge of the Atonement and know that we can repent, become clean, and return to live with our Father in Heaven and our Elder Brother, Jesus Christ.

Aren't these flip flops so cute???? My Mom made these and mailed them to us. It's our Easter tradition to get new flip flops. Thanks Mom!!

Dying Eggs!

Molly came to spend the night for Easter. I spent the evening baking and then we all dyed Easter Eggs. Justin picked out the "dye kit". It was actually some really cool paint stuff. You just put the paint in a plastic bag. Then you drop in the egg and swirl it around. The paint dried really fast and they turned out pretty cool. The Easter Bunny also came to visit.

Joy Moments

Here are some of my favorite Joy Moments for the week.

- One of our little guys in Primary told us "Candy makes you fat, like my Dad!"
- Taking a walk with my sweet husband.
- Getting an Easter package from my wonderful Mother.
- Got a $1.00 raise at work!!!
- Justin teaching me how to change the oil in his truck.
- Coming home from work on Friday, to my hotty husband scrubbing the bathroom. Oh lovely smell of Pinesol and Bleach.

And my FAVORITE Joy moment of the week......................................

Justin surprised me by buying my Mom a plane ticket to come visit me in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yahoo for my AMAZING husband and Hooorray for getting some DESPERATELY needed 'Mommy time'!

I love you Justin. And I can't wait for my Mom to get here.

Joy Journal

The past 8 months of my life have been emotional, to say the least. I have been given both my greatest blessing and my hardest trial. For those who don't know, my Dad passed away only 10 days before I married the love of my life. It was by far the most complicated emotions I have ever felt. How can someone feel so insanely happy and so devestatingly sad at the same time? Well, I'm living witness that it happens.

Heavenly Father has truly blessed my life. I have an AMAZING Husband, who stands beside me 100% of the time. He loves me, more that I probably deserve. I have been blessed with not just one but two wonderful families. I've been blessed with both a Mother that I absolutly adore and a wonderful Mother Inlaw. I have wonderful friends. I have a beautiful home to live in and cars to drive. Both Justin and I have great jobs in this tough economy. I have been blessed with having the Gospel in my life. I know who I am and I know the Eternal Plan for my life. I have been blessed to have the Priesthood in my home and more importantly, a man that honors it. We have a fun/challanging calling in our Ward. We love our little 7-8 year olds. I feel that I am generally a happy person. I have been blessed in so many ways. But I feel that I have let my trials get me down the past few months, and tend to forget about all of these wonderful blessings.

SO...I've decided to change that! A while back, my Mom told me about this "Joy Journal" she keeps. We both have a hard time remembering to keep our personal journals current. So this was her way to record some of the important moments in her life. She keeps this small notebook by her bed. And each night, she writes something about her day that gave her joy. Even if it's just one sentence. Maybe someone called to say "I love you". Or someone gave her a hug. Whatever it is, no matter how small, if it gives her joy....she writes it.

Well....beings I use my blog as my family journaling, I've decided to COUNT MY BLESSINGS and blog my "Joy Moments" each week.

1. Our Primary class were first to be dismissed from Primary (They have to be the most reverent to be dismissed. We almost alway last)
2. The sun came out this week.
3. Justin and I enjoyed a walk together.
4. I took a nap on Justin's lap while he watched Baseball.
5. Molly spent the night.
6. It was warm enough to wear flip flps
7. I got off work by 1pm on Friday!!!

One Year Ago

One year ago....Justin and I officially started dating. I went home (Arizona) for Easter/Conference weekend and Justin met me there. We had an interesting weekend, to say the least. On Saturday, we decided to ride the 4-wheelers to the baseball park and play a little ball. However, along the way, the 4-wheeler Justin was riding blew a tire. When I turned to check on him, he was on the ground with the 4-wheeler on top of him. He tried to play it off like he wasn't hurt....but it was pretty bad! Later he told me about the extreme ammount of pain he was in. But he was such a good sport. We got him all bandaged up...and then he still took me to the movies that night. Then next day was Easter. We opened out baskets from the Easter Bunny together. We watched General Conference, colored together, flew kites, played ball, and Kissed for the first time. All in all...it was a great weekend and has led to a life of true happiness. I love you Justin. Thank you for a wonderful year.
