Camping

We went camping last weekend with our friends Kole and Nicole. I thought we would be 'roughing it'. But as it turned out, we stayed in camping trailers, with running water and air conditioning. But we had fun! We only went up for one night. We played lots of games and ate good food. We went on a long drive in the Ranger. Long because...well, we got lost for a while. But, no fear! We eventually found our way back to camp. During our adventure, we found a rope swing. We stopped and played for a while. It was so fun. But we ended up with some rope burn. We also found a beautiful look-out that overlooked the entire Valley. It was fun to be up there with friends and to enjoy the fresh air.

High Uinta Mountains

The other day, Justin and I decided to go for a drive. We didn't get much of a summer this year (snow until July). And we have been waiting for the roads in the High Uintas to open. Justin loves it up there and I have never been. So FINALLY we drove up to the High Uinta Mountains. We stopped off at a little Diner along the way, called Dick's. Justin used to stop and eat there when he was a little boy. Well, let's just say, that it was not all that he remembered it to be. We had some shakes and grilled hot dogs. Not the best meal, but it was fun to re-live some of Justin's childhood memories.
We continued driving and ended up at Trial Lake. We stopped and fished for a while. Justin caught one fish. I only had a couple of nibbles on my line. We sat and fished for a couple of hours, until the rain came. Once we packed up and started driving down the Mountain, the rain stopped and the sun came out again. We stopped at some gorgous waterfalls. We got out and enjoyed the scenery for a while.
It was a beautiful day and it was so nice to get out of the city and enjoy the Mountains and fresh air. I loved spending the whole day with my wonderful Husband. We have such a fun time together. I love that man!!
