Zoo Lights

Last weekend Justin and I went to the Hogle Zoo, to see the Zoo Lights. We took our Brother & Sister-inlaw, Brett & Julianne, and their little Logan. We had fun. We ate dinner at Red Robin and then hit the Zoo. It was extrememly cold. And Logan wanted to RUN EVERYWHERE. There weren't many animals out, but we did see.... Tigers, Leopards, a Llama, a Buffalo, 2 Reindeers (Santa's to be exact), Monkies, Wild Cats, Alligators, and several more. The lights were really pretty! Thanks guys, for a fun date night!

Our Beautiful Tree

I L-O-V-E the Christmas season. And I was so excited this year to have my own home to decorate. We bought a real tree this year. (I love real trees.) Our home smells WONDERFUL! We had lots of fun picking out our tree and setting it up. Justin was such a good sport. And I absolutley LOVE our tree. It's so beautiful.

Our New Home!

It's been a while since I blogged. But, my camera is busted. (so sad) But lucky for me, my wonderful mother-in-law to be, took these pictures for us on moving day. I moved in to our new little home on Sept. 1st. It's been exhausting...but so much fun to set-up and decorate. I can hardly wait for Justin to move in and have our little home complete.

Surprise Bridal Shower!

I drove to Snowflake with Molly and my Mom this weekend to visit my family. We got up at 3am on Thursday morning and drove all day. We got here around 2pm. It's been so much fun to spend time with my family. After we had dinner, my loving Aunt, kindly suggested that I should change my clothes and look a little more presentable because she was having company come over. To my shock....it was a Surprise Bridal Shower. It was so much fun! I loved seeing all my Snowflake friends. And I got some really fun gifts. Thanks for a FABULOUS evening, Ladies!!!!

4th of July

Better late than never. Our lives have been insanely busy with wedding planning, our jobs, Justin traveling, etc. But, I finally found a minute to sit and update our blog. This year for the 4th, we spent the day with Justin's family. And Molly was able to join us! We had a BBQ at Justin's Grandparents house. Justin and I made Veggie Kabobs.....so yummy!! We had a great time. After dinner, we went over to the Riverton Softball/Baseball fields for fireworks and the fair. We didn't play at the fair, but we walked around for a bit just to check it out. We splurged and bought $1 snow cones. YUM!! The fireworks were great. We're so thankful for this beautiful country. And for the wonderful freedoms that we enjoy. We're especially greatful for the freedom of religion and the ability to live and worship as we choose. And for the amazing opportunity that Justin and I will have to be married and sealed in the Temple.

Summer Fun

Justin and I try to find new adventures on the weekends. But our very favorite summer activity is going to the Drive-In. We're so lucky to have one close by. Saturday night was PERFECT Drive-In weather. So... we washed the truck, loaded up the love-sack, bought $5 pizza and treats, and headed off to the Drive-In. We watched 'Grown Ups' and 'Karate Kid'. Both movies were so good. Definitely must sees. Thank you Justin, for a fun summer evening. I love you!

Our Story....

Justin and I were first introduced by our friend, Nicole. Justin was living in Phoenix and I was living in Snowflake. Nicole gave Justin my phone number in May 2009. We began text messaging. We wanted to meet. However, we lived several hours apart. So...we just became texting buddies. It wasn't until Christmas time, that we finally met. I had moved back to Utah and Justin came home to Utah for Christmas with his family. It was the week of Christmas and I was getting ready to travel to Snowflake for the holiday. Nicole and I decided to celebrate my birthday early with a trip to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights. That's where the planning began. Nicole invited Justin to go with "a group of friends" to Temple Square. He said yes. Nicole had told me that he was coming, but did not make a big deal out of it. We drove to Justin's house to pick him up. I got so nervous to meet him, I had to pee. When we got to Justin's house, I jumped out of the car, ran up to the house and said, "Hi. I'm Krystal. I have to pee." I know.... great first impression. He showed me into his house. In the mean time, Nicole announced to Justin than this "group evening" was really a set up to introduce the two of us. So, we went to Temple Square. Justin and I had a great time talking. We really enjoyed one another. We were definitely interested....but still living a long distance from each other.

(Temple Square Dec. 20th 2009)
After our "set up", Justin and I began talking more. We began emailing, talking on the phone, and texting over the next couple months. During February, I was at Nicole's house. She asked how things were going with Justin and asked if he'd be home for Easter. I hadn't asked...so Nicole decided to take matters into her own hands. The next thing I know.... she had invited Justin to go home with me for Easter. And to my surprises.....HE'D SAID YES!!! Seriously???? I was in shock....and SO NERVOUS! So, Justin came home with me for Easter vacation. We had fun getting to know each other more. ( And Justin fell in LOVE ) This is when Justin says he knew he was going to marry me. I was just trying to make it through the weekend without embarassing myself too much.

(Easter Sunday-April 4th, 2010)

Well....Justin moved back to Utah 2 weeks later. We began dating.....and have spent almost everyday together since. Justin "unofficially proposed" on May 20th. And he "officially proposed" on May 30th, 2010. I said YES...and here we are today. Happily engaged and planning our wedding!
