Mommy Time

Well...I FINALLY got some much needed Mommy time. Justin flew my Mom in for the week. We played hard. It was so nice. We shopped, and ate, and shopped, and visited, and shopped, and decorated, and did I mention shopping. We really had so much fun. Molly came and stayed with us too while she was recovering from her surgery. I'm so sad we didn't get more pictures while she was here...but here are a couple.

We spent the morning window shopping at Gardner Village. I just love this place. And it's SO beautiful this time of year.

Justin was such a good sport all week. He even went to Garnder Village with us. We all love him! He's such a wonderful addition to our family.

Uncle Justin

On Justin's birthday, we had Logan over for a couple of hours. He played hard with Justin. And of course...he couldn't resist helping Justin build shelves.

A little help from Uncle Justin.

Getting the hang of it.

Justin Turns 30

Today...Justin turned 30. We had such a nice day. We both had the day off and both my Mom and Molly were staying with us. The day started with gifts. Justin was supposed to work...so I had decorated the inside of his work van with balloons and his b-day gift. We got up early and I gave him a silly gag gift. It was 2 ceramic pigs making out. Then I gave him some new clothes and we headed out to his work van for his REAL b-day gift....a new impact drill. We then all got ready for the day and ran some errands and went to lunch at the Olive Garden. YUMMY!!! We invited some friends and family over that night to help celebrate. Justin wanted a Cherry Cake. So first I made some Cherry-chip cupcakes with chocolate frosting. Then I attempted to make a cake with homemade fondant. It didn't turn out so well, but Justin was such a GOOD SPORT about it. The cake itself was a layer of chocolate cake and a lay of cherry-chip cake with cherry filling in the middle. (I think the cherry filling was the bad idea. It made the cake too lumpy and started to cave on the sides....Lesson learned). Anyways, I wanted to make a "Fishing" cake, beings Justin loves to fish. It ended up looking like a cake for a 5 year old.  Oh well - It was so fun to celebrate Justin and his special day. I love that man so much!!
